Emotive is born out of my love for storytelling and Indian philosophy. Our brand narrates stories of powerful characters from India, This story is about Ahalya, a beautiful woman created by Brahma as mentioned in Indian scriptures. Different versions narrate different stories, however, in each story, Ahalya has been mentioned to receive liberation from her curse by Lord Rama. Emotive respects and admires the stories from India and takes pride in having the opportunity to portray them visually in a very artistic and creative way.
Ahalya, according to various texts, is depicted as being created by Brahma either from water or from the ashes of a sacrificial fire, renowned for her unparalleled beauty. Her marriage to Gautama, despite the significant age gap, caused strife, particularly with Indra who coveted her. Accounts differ regarding her encounter with Indra, either portraying her as willingly succumbing to his advances out of curiosity or as being deceived by his trickery. Following the revelation of her brief liaison with Indra, both Ahalya and Indra faced curses from Gautama, which were later lifted by Lord Rama, restoring Ahalya's form and reconciling her with her family.
